Freetown Journals: Write Me!

When I'm on the ship, I love getting mail! It could take a few weeks for mail to reach me, and it's also not one-address-fits-all, so I wrote a little guide on how to reach me.

This address is for letters (flat, under 1oz):

These addresses are for packages (anything not-flat or over 1oz is considered a package) going to the ship:

USPS:

Non-USPS (UPS, FedEx, etc.)

Letters under 1oz reach the ship a lot faster, usually within 2-3 weeks. As for anything larger, it really helps the mail room in Texas if you list the contents of packages somewhere on the outside, along with the Texas address. It gets put on the shipping container that is sent to the ship periodically. Packages sent via container take an average of 60 days to reach the ship, so don't go sending me any puppies. On the bright side, once the package gets to Texas, sending it in the container is FREE to you and me, thanks to MSC, a shipping company that donates container space for us to use at no expense, which is awesome!

Hi Kate, it sure is interesting to hear about your activities. Thank you for sharing! I will pray for you all and that we get back to work soon. I just resumed working back in the schools and really miss being in the schools! I am sorry you didn't get to make it back. Thank you for your great posts!!
